The tech industry, especially data-focused fields, loves creating buzzwords. The titles I’ve listed are mild compared to some out there. Companies inflate titles to attract talent, a trend that extends beyond job labels.

If we resisted the urge to dress up ordinary terms, we wouldn’t need to decode this evolving newspeak. But as language drifts toward vagueness, clear communication becomes harder—even when we want it.
